About

I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia as a first generation Australian with Filipino background.

My favourite hobby is skateboarding. I've made friends all over the world through skateboarding, it's taught me to be resilient, to not beat myself up when I fail at something, and to not be afraid to just 'give it a go'.

My other hobbies include: snowboarding, and riding my motorcycle.

Some of my most memorable experiences are:

  • Experiencing altitude sickness after riding a motorbike solo in Nepal from Pokhora to Muktinath.
  • Getting lost and making new friends whilst exploring Kerala in South India by motorbike.
  • Skateboarding around Queensland, Australia living out of a van with two mates.
  • Touring New Zealands south island with some mates on a snowboarding trip.
  • Making friends with the locals in Japan, and overcoming the language barrier through a shared interest in skateboarding.

Academic Experience

I graduated from Curtin University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. During this time I had the opportunity to study abroad in Indonesia, and Canada.

My final year Capstone project was nominated for the WA Technology Incite Awards where I became a finalist and had the privilege of being able to attend the prestigous awards ceremony.

I was extended an invitation to continue my studies as an honours student, but after much consideration, I decided to decline the offer in favour of pursuing a career in industry.

Professional Experience

I've been working as a Software Engineer for 3.8 years.

I've been working as an Engineer at Bankwest for the last 2.5 years.

My work primarily consists of API development using Spring. However, I occasionally do work in Javascript/Typescript.

Technical Experience

I've been blessed with wonderful opportunities to work at some unique companies. During which, I've worked on an eclectic range of problems including:

  • Implementing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence Technologies to Interface with Complex Robotic Hardware;
  • Developing a Thoron Decay Chain Simulation for Radon Sniffers to detect underground radiation levels;
  • Configuration of Complex PLC Control Systems for Automated Stockyard Management Systems, and GPS Assisted Anti-Collision Systems;
